Urban Pathways - Supporting Low Carbon Plans for Urban Basic Services in the context of the New Urban Agenda
The Urban Pathways project helps delivering on the Paris Agreement and the NDCs in the context of the New Urban Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals. The project follows a structured approach to boost Low Carbon Plans for urban mobility, energy and waste management services, working on concrete steps towards a maximum impact in cities to global climate change mitigation efforts and sustainable and inclusive urban development.
Nairobi, 14 July 2021 – UN-Habitat and the Kenyan Government signed an agreement that would provide United Nations technical expertise in a variety of multi-year projects to reclaim and renovate several kilometres of the river system in the Kenyan capital Nairobi.

The webinar is organized by the Wuppertal Institute for Climate, Environment, Energy and UN-Habitat under the Urban Pathways Project and the Waste Wise Cities Initiative. It aims at sharing with local and regional government officials, as well as interested stakeholders, examples of good practices in Latin America regarding Food Loss and Waste. The webinar will have presentations form FAO, PNUD and the Argentinean Federal Government.
